The Awards

We have awards categories to suit every area of the health and fitness industry. We also have awards that are open to a public vote and awards that go to a judges panel, so there really is no excuse to get involved!

- PUBLIC VOTING -

The top % of votes will be forwarded to the judging panel, who will then select the ultimate winner. Those who make the top % will be considered as finalists in their respective categories. process aims to encourage growth and establish a more equitable system overall for the awards.

Marketing within the Health and Fitness Industry

- The marketing award recognises the hard work that you put into marketing your business. This award will be judged by our panel of judges. They want to see what techniques you use and how marketing your business has succeeded for you.

Innovation award

The innovation award is for those who offer something innovative or “outside the box” within the Scottish Health and Fitness industry. This award can be for individuals or businesses and will be judged by our panel.

Member/Client transformation award

This category serves to reward an individual who has completed a transformation that deserves to be recognised within the fitness industry. They should be able to demonstrate that with passion, commitment and dedication, anything is possible. Candidates will have improved their health & fitness in various ways, such as, their well-being, becoming leaner/stronger or overcoming a personal challenge.

Outstanding achievement award

The Outstanding achievement award is for those who have achieved beyond the “normal” either personally or within their business. Great examples of this may be that they have overcome a substantial challenge or grown their business. This can be a personal achievement and our judges want to hear what this is!

Inspiration Award Inspired by Colin Thomas

To be won by someone who has given something back to the community and achieved something truly inspiring. Colin has spent a lot of time in Kenya over the past eight years with some of the best athletes and coaches in the world. He has worked with globally renowned coaches such as Brother Colm, Renato Canova and Patrick Sang, studying their philosophies and implementing them into training plans of other athletes and runners.

Mental health advocate of the year

- This award is for those within the Scottish Health and Fitness industry who offer help and advice to support mental health and wellness. This may be through classes, social media or just within day to day life.

Scottish Fitness instructor of the year 2023

This award is for a Fitness instructor within the Scottish Health and Fitness industry. Let our judges know in the box below who the fitness instructor is, what and where they are the instructor for and why they should win the title of Scottish Fitness Instructor of the year 2023.

Newcomer of the Year 2023 (Personal or Business)

This award is for health and fitness professionals that have begun working in the industry within 18 months before June 2024. This can be an individual or business that has shown growth and dedication in a small time frame.

Lifetime achievement award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is given annually to an individual who has had a significant and sustained impact on the health and fitness industry. Candidates will have made notable contributions and offered a lifetime of service to the industry.

Scottish Fitness instructor of the year 2023

Diversity Award 2023: Helping Vulnerable Groups of People

The Diversity award is for those who have worked with vulnerable groups of people within the fitness industry to improve their standard of living. For example but not limited to; elderly, persons with physical and mental disabilities, homeless, refugees etc
